Earth Day: Micronics’ Daily Contributions to the Planet

Our teams work with customers daily in using innovative filtration technologies for environmental protection, reducing emissions and cleaning up water & wastewater streams, minimizing impact to the environment for both humans and wildlife, and leaving the planet better and healthier. We often are helping our customers raise the bar for improved, more efficient, and more sustainable processes like ensuring the availability of critical natural resources such as battery metals for electric vehicles. As millions of EVs hit the road, companies like Micronics are assisting innovative clients with advanced reuse and recovery solutions for copper, nickel, cobalt, lithium, and more. Many of our customers are in the news for their ground-breaking sustainability efforts and we are happy to help enable these contributions!

Innovative solutions for the planet get beyond “same-old, same old” but entail filter media improvements, filtration equipment optimization, and “the little things” like running processes as lean as possible in order to achieve goals but not too lean to run out of inventory of filter media should an excursion occur. Micronics is itself a leader in capabilities such as supply chain optimization and helps its customers with inventory management solutions to get it right. The planet requires innovative solutions, not just more filter cloth suppliers or more filter bag suppliers.

The global pandemic has asked us to be more innovative in supply chain solutions, installation and commissioning of new filtration equipment, and service and support. If we could not be on-site to meet customers’ process and environmental compliance needs, we have often provided remote service solutions through our talented service team.

We are supporting our customers’ innovative processes and process improvements through our In-House Laboratory Services – a kind of filtration innovation hub – where we are constantly examining better filter press cloth solutions and filter bag solutions for greater sustainability.

Our Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales & Customer Service professionals – and operations team – have continued to find new ways to provide the little things. Turns out, the so-called “little things” are often the big things.

Whether through our high-quality filter bags for baghouses or the contributions of our team members on the ground installing and commissioning new advanced wet filtration systems in remote locations, our products, know-how, and perseverance are making a positive impact on the planet.
