PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE, USA – October 12, 2018 – The Micronics Engineered Filtration Group (Micronics Filtration Holdings, Inc.) is very pleased to announce that it has recently signed a representation agreement in Uruguay with Filtra Uruguay, based in Montevideo, the country’s capital.

The signing of this agreement underscores Micronics’ confidence in Filtra Uruguay as a strategic partner and is an important action to securing a stronger and deeper position in Uruguay for serving clients with Micronics’ industry-leading filtration products and services.

The new agreement with Filtra Uruguay covers distribution of Micronics’ wet filtration products and services in Uruguay – particularly for the food industries – as well as distribution of Micronics’ air pollution control products and services for baghouse dust collectors in important sectors such as steel and aggregates.

Uruguay greatest natural resource is its rich agricultural land including important crops such as sugarcane, sugar beets, and edible oil crops such as sunflower seed. Micronics has applications expertise in many of these food and edible oil-related industries.

South America, Central America, and Mexico have been and continue to be important, long-standing markets for Micronics’ filtration products and services including filter cloth, filter presses, filter plates, and a full range of spare parts and services used for liquid/solid separation in the mining and mineral processing and other demanding markets.
