Beginning in late 2014 and continuing into 2015, Micronics expanded from its singular focus on Liquid Filtration solutions to include a strong, complementary & synergistic focus on Air Filtration, providing industry-leading air pollution control products & services with the acquisitions of SFM, CPE, UPC, and AeroPulse. Action Filtration joined the team in November 2024.

Micronics had been a portfolio company of Los Angeles-based private equity firm Vance Street Capital since 2013. VSC acquired Micronics from its founder.
In March 2025, it was announced that Micronics was acquired by Cleanova. Cleanova is a portfolio company of PX3 Partners, a London-headquartered private equity firm. Chris Cummins is the President and CEO of the combined Cleanova Group, which is now headquartered in Chattanooga, TN, USA.
