Micronics offers many different types of filter cloth from polypropylene to nylon to PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride or difluoride). PVDF is normally chosen for use under conditions which may be nearing the limit for more conventionally used materials such as polypropylene.
PVDF cloths may be useful in chemically-aggressive environments, particularly at higher temperatures. PVDF offers an excellent combination of strength, rigidity, abrasion resistance, resistance to chemical attack, and resistance to environmental stress cracking.
You may see PDVF under the brand name Kynar® (from the chemical company Arkema).
Micronics also offers an excellent selection of membrane or replaceable diaphragm squeeze filter plates constructed of Polypropylene or PVDF materials, including anti-static plates.
Contact us to see if PVDF materials are a good fit for your demanding pressure filtration applications which may include candle filters.
