Recess Filter Plates There are 3 basic types of Recess Plates; Open Filtrate, Closed Filtrate, and Gasketted. They are available for sidebar or overhead press designs. Mounting hangers or side handles can accommodate any brand of filter. |
 Membrane Filter Plates Membrane Filter Press Plates are used to reduce the cake moisture content or shorten the filtration cycle time. They may be retrofit to existing filters. There are two types; fixed and replaceable. |
| Vacuum
Membrane Filter Plates Vacuum Filter Plates are similar to membrane filter plates but designed to operate at elevated temperatures. After filtration the chamber below the drainage surface is inflated with hot water. A vacuum is then applied within the filtration chamber and draws out moisture to produce a "bone dry" filter cake. |
 Plate
& Frame Plate & Frame filter plates are the oldest design and the predecessor to recessed plates. The chamber is formed by a flat plate on each side of a frame. Cake is collected in the frame. This type of plate is usually used for polishing applications when filtration area is more important than volume. |
